Minett Stories

Minett Stories is a digital exhibition exploring the history and identity of the Minett, the industrial region in southern Luxembourg. For about a century, from 1870 to 1970, the region was shaped by iron ore mining and the steel industry. This period brought rapid economic and demographic growth, urbanisation, and labour migration, alongside environmental impact, economic crises, and difficult living conditions.

The project is part of the Remixing Industrial Pasts in the Digital Age research programme coordinated by the C2DH, University of Luxembourg, and developed within the framework of Esch2022 European Capital of Culture.
