Afrorescences

Afrorescences is a bilingual platform created by researchers from the University of Montreal and Emory University. It brings together artists, interviews, events and resources dedicated to Afrodescendant art in France, freely accessible and constantly growing.

Through field research, conversations with artists and activists, and critical readings, the platform maps the Afrodescendant artistic ecosystem in France, spotlighting around fifteen artists active since 2005, along with the collectives, venues and events that connect them. More than an archive, it is a growing space for dialogue and discovery.

For the project we have curated the data design strategy, UX/UI design and development.
